Two Awards for Magnet Mart

The Timber and Building Materials Association of NSW (TABMA) presented Magnet Mart,
Goulburn, with the Exceptional Customer Service Award at the annual TABMA Awards Night
held recently in Sydney. This prestigious State award recognises excellence in customer
service in the building supplies industry. The Goulburn store won from a field of more than
100 participating businesses across NSW.
Accepting the award on behalf of the store, Chris Donaghue, Managing Director of Magnet
Mart said: “The award is great recognition of the fine efforts of all the staff at the Goulburn
Magnet Mart store who aim to make every customer feel special.”
“We work as a dedicated team here in the Goulburn store, and our aim is to provide the very
best level of service to our customers,” said Goulburn store manager, Michael Prevedello.
Judging for the Exceptional Customer Service Award is done on the basis of quarterly
customer service surveys undertaken by an independent marketing company, on behalf of
TABMA. The award is given to the store with the highest average score from the four surveys
conducted during the preceding year. Magnet Mart picked up another prestigious award on
the night with the Gungahlin (ACT) Magnet Mart store winning the Best Building Materials
Warehouse Country Region Award (over 8,000 square metre category). Judging for the
award covers key areas of store presentation and housekeeping, hardware stock
presentation and merchandising, timber product presentation, timber yard layout, overall
timber product range, and safety standards in the timber yard. This is the third year in a row
that the Gungahlin store has proven a winner in the TABMA awards.
