Mighty Successful at MIFGS

Mitre 10 celebrated a second year of sponsorship of the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show (MIFGS). The event kicked off with a timely speech from new Mitre 10 CEO Mark Burrowes at the official breakfast. Mitre 10’s sustainable living garden ‘Food for Thought’ was one of three winners of the ‘Gold Show Garden MIFGS 2009’ category, with months of hard work, planning and inspiration having gone into the display thanks to the efforts of the Mitre 10 team headed by National Greenlife Manager David Collard.

Another award went to the ‘Tropical Retreat’ show garden, presented by Mitre 10 Diamond Creek and Outdoor Extension Company. This display won both the Royal ‘Horticultural Society Comeadow Award’ and the ‘Silver Show Garden MIFGS 2009’ award. Members of the Mitre 10 Executive at MIFGS.
